One
of the few exotic places left, Laos is relatively
comfortable and easy. The people are quiet and gentle,
making it an interesting, fun and educational country
to visit.
Laos
is renowned for its laid-back way of life and
even now, time stands still in Laos. Temples, instead
of big buildings, serve as landmarks. Adventure travelers
have a unique opportunity to observe a truly tranquil
and uncomplicated lifestyle.
Every
village has its own special charm. Youll
get a look at genuine rural life, free from any Western
influence. We feel a natural responsibility to behave
respectfully toward people whose knowledge of the
world largely ends with the river that flows past.
The children of Laos are especially charming and innocent.
You
have the opportunity to go kayaking and rafting
adventure opportunities on several rarely-visited
rivers in Laos. These gentle rivers meander through
verdant valleys and rich farmland. Traveling by river
allows you to experience villages not accessible by
road.
We
a one week trip featuring rivers accessible
from Vientiane. The rivers have brisk currents and
are well suited for our paddle raft and inflatable
kayaks. The scenery consists of majestic limestone
mountains and verdant jungle. We overnight in river
villages or guesthouses. PaddleAsia
also offers whitewater
rafting and kayaking adventure tours to
the rivers of southern and northern Laos.

Guest's
comment on our Laos Trip
"For
many years, I was determined that I would never travel
with a guide or in a group. Then I met Dave Williams.
Now I am determined that I will never travel with
a guide or in a group: unless it is led by Dave Williams.
He customizes each trip based on the temperament and
experience level of his charges. Because Dave tunes
in to the peculiar needs of his group so well, the
adventures are always exciting, but not stressful.
Dave is clearly not in this for the money. He designs
trips that are exciting to him so that he is personally
enlivened and excited. It is a sound principle. Dave's
passion for what he does is indeed contagious. Each
of us was infected with the spirit of adventure, fun,
and respect for the wonders of nature. I feel lucky
that I have so many amazing stories to tell of the
kind of adventures that most people will only dream
about."
